Aldermen adopt strategic communications plan developed with Raftelis

Brentwood — The Brentwood Board of Aldermen on Aug. 18, 2025, adopted a comprehensive communications audit and strategic communications plan prepared by Raftelis. The city issued a request for proposals in 2024, selected Raftelis, and worked with the firm over the past year to complete the audit and plan.
Michelle presented the work and told the board the audit was completed earlier in the year and the plan is finalized and ready to guide the city's communications efforts moving forward. The board voted to approve resolution 15-60 by voice vote.
Outcome: Resolution 15-60 adopting the communications plan was approved without recorded opposition. The plan will serve as guidance for city communications strategy, priorities and practices.
Why it matters: The plan centralizes communications priorities and will shape how the city informs residents, manages outreach and allocates staff time. Adopting a formal plan follows an RFP and contract process that concluded with Raftelis’ delivery of final documents.
