At the August 2025 meeting, Oak Grove Mayor Dana Webb asked the Board of Aldermen to confirm several mayoral appointments and reappointments to the city's advisory boards. The board approved each nomination by voice vote.
The board confirmed Debbie Weirich to the Board of Appeals; Jim Carpenter to the Board of Zoning and Adjustment; reappointed Bob Sneders and Jim Dent to the Board of Zoning and Adjustment; reappointed Bill Collins and Eric Mitchell to the Planning and Zoning Commission; appointed Ruth Anne Haffner to the Tree Board; and reappointed Bob Berry, Tracy Bradyhoff and Debbie Ewald to the Tree Board. In each case the mayor introduced the nominee and the board moved, seconded and approved the appointment or reappointment by unanimous voice vote.
Mayor Webb noted that the Board of Appeals is allowed to include members who do not reside within the city limits, an exception among the city's boards. No board member raised objections or requested additional vetting during the public meeting. The appointments will allow the boards to proceed with their regular duties; no special conditions, staggered terms, or reporting requirements were recorded in the meeting minutes.
These confirmations were taken as routine consent items during the new business portion of the meeting and were approved without recorded roll-call tallies.
