Erin Jeffries, president and CEO of Miami Valley Community Action Partnership, presented the agency’s 2024 annual report to the Greene County Board of Commissioners on June 26, summarizing local services and program volume for the county.
Jeffries told the board Miami Valley Community Action Partnership (MVCAP) serves Greene County as one of its core counties and provides local offices and staff to deliver emergency and long‑term services, including HEAP and PIP utility assistance, emergency and transitional housing with case management, weatherization and home repair, financial counseling, and connections to legal and behavioral health partners.
Jeffries said MVCAP processed more than 3,200 HEAP and PIP applications in Greene County in 2024, assisted more than 500 individuals through seasonal crisis programs, weatherized 31 homes, completed two emergency home repairs, and provided more than 8,400 shelter nights to 216 individuals. She emphasized the agency’s local partnerships and the role of the Greene County advisory committee in guiding services.
Brent Robinson, identified in the presentation as Greene County director for MVCAP, was introduced and noted as a local leader who previously had been served by the agency. Jeffries and her staff said MVCAP is preparing for potential funding changes at the state and federal level by seeking new grants and private funding while monitoring policy developments.
No board action was required; the presentation was received for the record. MVCAP representatives in the room included Katie O'Donohue Lee, vice president and chief operating officer, and Sharon Bangle, communications consultant, who accompanied Jeffries to the meeting.
