Representatives of Michael's House introduced Melissa Holbrook as the organization's new director and Tabitha as a forensic interviewer during the Greene County Board of Commissioners meeting on July 3.
Elaine Mercurio, identified in the meeting as a Michael's House representative, introduced Holbrook and said Holbrook comes with forensic interviewing experience. "It's Melissa Holbrook," Mercurio said, and introduced Tabitha as the forensic interviewer with about four years at Michael's House.
Melissa Holbrook briefly addressed the commissioners, saying she has been in the position for about three months and previously worked as an interviewer at Care House and in child welfare as an intake caseworker and supervisor. Holbrook said she appreciated the opportunity to meet the commissioners and offered to work jointly with the community.
Commissioners thanked Michael's House volunteers and staff, calling the organization "a tremendous asset to the county and, for the children." No formal action was required or taken; the presentation was informational.
