Commissioners who reviewed the sketchplan said the design “moves in the right direction,” with multiple commissioners noting that the roofline and reduced massing made the accessory structure read more like the main house and less like a two‑story addition. Commissioners emphasized that formal review will require a complete resubmittal including community‑design documentation, site‑plan drawings and concept stormwater management calculations; staff noted the accessory structure still exceeds the administrative height allowance and will require a formal commission review when fully submitted.
The petitioner said the footprint was not changed in the new sketch but the team had reduced height and window sizes. Commissioners encouraged the petitioner to proceed with a full set of revised plans and submit them for the next available commission review.
