The Olivet City Council unanimously reappointed John Paul Frisella as municipal judge for a two-year term on July 8. A council member moved to reappoint Frisella and another member seconded; roll call votes recorded "yes" from Council member Lewis, Council member Pashon Hellman, Council member Solomanov, Chairman Pro Tem Weil and Mayor Clark. After the vote, Judge Frisella addressed a nearby resident's code-enforcement concern and described the court's recent activity in that case: he said the resident's household had been summoned and the male resident had not appeared, and that the court would issue a warrant if the person fails to appear at the next date. Frisella also said the court had warned the property owner that continued noncompliance could result in fines "every single day that the problem remains with up to a $100 fine per every summon she receives." The council's motion resulted in a reappointment effective immediately and the judge said he looks forward to continuing in the role.
