She said the city has applied for and received county reimbursement grants in prior years to cover staffing and vendor costs for e‑waste and shredding services. The city is budgeted to cover event costs up front; the approved resolution authorizes acceptance of reimbursement if the county awards the grant.

Council members discussed possible future additions such as paint collection partnerships and repair‑fair concepts for broader reuse, and staff said those ideas could be explored for later events. The motion to authorize acceptance of the potential county grant passed by recorded vote.
