Council appoints Paul Carey and Reynaldo Luna to city boards

The City of Olivet council on Aug. 12 appointed two residents to advisory boards. Paul Carey was appointed to the Parks and Recreation Commission for a term ending in 2027, and Reynaldo Luna was appointed to the Zoning Board of Adjustment for a term ending in 2029.
Staff said both candidates had been interviewed at a prior meeting and the council directed staff to place both nominations on the agenda. A council member moved to appoint both individuals and the motion passed unanimously.
The appointments take effect immediately; the new members will serve until their respective term expiration dates and will attend future commission meetings as scheduled.
