The Board of Aldermen approved an ordinance directing city staff to transfer the land known as Hyde Park as part of the Cedar Crossing development, converting Council Bill 36 to Ordinance 3734 after a roll-call vote.
City planning staff member Christina explained the transfer had been discussed previously during rezoning and the development agreement; the transfer was proposed in lieu of the normal park cash fee so the developer would assume maintenance responsibilities for the park parcel. Christina told the board the developer's first final plat has completed review but awaits final signature; a second plat is in preparation.
Alderman Milner moved to suspend the rules and advance Council Bill 36 to second reading the same evening; Alderman Dorhof seconded. The board then voted on second reading and adoption; the roll call recorded ayes from the present aldermen and the item was adopted as Ordinance 3734.
No public comment opposed the transfer at the time of the meeting. Christina said the transfer was an administrative step to complete the development agreement and the related platting procedure remains outstanding until revisions are finalized.
