The Harrisonville Board of Aldermen authorized the city administrator to enter into a contract with Integrated Environmental Solutions LLC for a reconnaissance-level architectural survey of approximately 159 acres identified as Phase 2, approving Council Bill 34, which became Resolution 2025-14.
City staff member Christina told the board this survey is the second of four planned phases and that bids came in higher than expected, prompting amendment to the associated grant agreement. She said the federal portion of the grant was increased by $10,008.06 and the local share increased by $7,002.04. Christina said the total project amount as stated in the staff presentation could not be reliably read from the record and asked the board to authorize moving the project forward.
There were no public questions. Alderman Milner moved to approve the council bill and Alderman Turner seconded; a roll-call vote recorded ayes from present aldermen and the motion passed, converting Council Bill 34 into Resolution 2025-14.
Christina said the overall environmental survey program spans multiple years and phases and that the additional funds are to cover higher-than-expected bid amounts for Phase 2. The board recorded the vote without further discussion.
