Board of Aldermen appoints Ross Nigro as Harrisonville municipal judge

The Harrisonville Board of Aldermen on June 16 voted unanimously to appoint Ross Nigro as municipal judge for the Harrisonville Municipal Court in the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit.
The resolution to appoint Nigro was presented by Mayor Bill Zering and carried on a motion from Alderman Davidson with a second from Alderman Turner. The roll call recorded ayes from Aldermen Davidson, Turner, Cheney, Fouch, Franklin, Doerhoff (Dorhof), and Mills; Alderman Milner was excused.
Ross Nigro addressed the board briefly after the vote, saying he appreciated the opportunity and that he had been serving in a fill-in capacity in recent months. Following the appointment, Nigro recited the judicial oath on the council dais.
The vote converted council bill 31 into Resolution 2025-11 formalizing the appointment.
