At the July 21 meeting the Board of Aldermen adopted an ordinance amending the City of Harrisonville’s 2025 operating budget to handle a set of grouped finance items, after suspending the rules to move the item to a second reading the same night.

Jeremy told aldermen staff grouped the items to avoid multiple small amendments over the year.

A roll call on the suspension recorded ayes from Aldermen Fouch, Turner, Cheney, Davidson, Franklin and Milner; Aldermen Mills and Doorhoff were excused. The board then conducted an administrative second reading and adopted the ordinance by roll call; the ordinance was assigned No. 3736.
