Kearney closes fiscal year with revenues above expectations; March financial report shows no fund overages

Kearney — Finance Director Stephanie Harris told the Board of Aldermen on May 5 that the city closed its fiscal year with no fund expenditures over budget and with revenues that exceeded expectations through March 31, 2025.
Harris described the March monthly financial report as the end-of-year summary for the 12 months ended March 31, 2025, and said the city is in good financial position heading into the new fiscal year. She did not report any funds exceeding budgeted expenditures.
Harris’s summary drew no board questions. The report will be part of the city’s standard year-end financial records and subject to routine audit and follow-up as required by city policy.
