The Village of Lombards finance and administration committee reviewed the villages annual comprehensive financial report at a meeting preceding the Board of Trustees session and recommended the report be forwarded to the full board.

Jamie Wilkie, a partner with the villages auditor (Letterbach and Amen, as listed in the meeting), presented the annual comprehensive financial report to the committee, which also took a preliminary look at the proposed 2026 budget. No committee action was taken on the budget; the committee will review the full 2026 budget at its Sept. 22 meeting.

Why it matters: The annual comprehensive financial report documents the villages fiscal position and audit findings and is the foundation for finalizing the budget for the coming year. The committees recommendation moves the report toward formal board consideration at a later board meeting.

Additional context: Trustee Dan Mettello, who chairs the finance and administration committee, said the committee welcomed four new committee members at the meeting and noted the space constraints at the committee meeting venue. The committee will return with a full budget presentation for board review on Sept. 22.
