Greene County commissioners on July 17 approved renewal of employee benefit plans for 2025–26, keeping life, vision and dental coverage unchanged and renewing the county’s health plan with UnitedHealthcare (Jefferson Health Plan) at a 6.86% rate increase.
County staff said life, vision and dental are under multiyear arrangements with no changes. For health insurance, staff described a 6.86% renewal with UnitedHealthcare and said that rate is higher than in previous years but “much lower than the market and what our neighbors are saying.” The transcript records no plan design reductions.
The county will add Price Edge Rx, a price‑shopping benefit for prescriptions; Virta Health, a program for people with diabetes or prediabetes focused on weight loss and metabolic health; and Regenexx, a regenerative-treatment option aimed at avoiding some surgeries. The staff member thanked Lisa Hale for work on benefits administration and noted open enrollment will follow.
Commissioners voted to approve the renewal and authorized the county administrator to sign renewal documents. The transcript records affirmative voice votes for the motion to approve.
