The Greene County Board of Commissioners on Aug. 7 approved a series of routine administrative items including minutes, vouchers, travel and training, transfers, personnel actions, disposal of unneeded personal property, a bid award for materials on a road rehabilitation project, a replat, and the release of a performance bond for Nathaniel's Grove Section 11.
The board approved the regular meeting minutes and the work session minutes as submitted. Commissioners also approved vouchers presented during the meeting and one out-of-state travel request for an employee to attend the International Association of Emergency Managers conference in Louisville.
Under transfers, commissioners discussed a donation that will fund a court-view portal for a local court location; county staff said funds were donated by a private law library board to support access at the court. The board approved the transfers as presented.
On personnel matters the board approved a probationary removal after a new hire did not report for work after a short period. The board also declared unneeded county property and authorized disposal paths: Greene County Juvenile Court's large conference table was approved for sale via GovDeals, and the sheriff's office was authorized to sell a retiring deputy's service weapon by private sale to the deputy's bargaining unit as allowed under their agreement; the weapon was identified as a Glock G45 for $744.62.
The board awarded a single bid of $170,010.38 for material-only work on the Old Winchester Road bridle (material) rehab project to Acro Bridal (as presented), approved a replat to realign lot lines for Thomas Plat (Lots 8A, 9, and 10 reconfigured to Lots 8B and 10A), and approved a 100% release of performance bonds for sanitary and water lines in Nathaniel's Grove Section 11 in Beavercreek Township.
All items were moved and seconded during the meeting and carried with affirmative votes recorded.
