At their July 22 meeting the Lawrence County Board of Commissioners approved a group of routine consent items including minutes, floodplain permits submitted by the Sewell and Water Conservation District, appropriations and transfers under $75,000, and personnel hires for emergency medical services.
The board approved hiring Timothy Woods and Alexandria Roman as part-time EMTs. The board also received and filed the county auditor's certificate that total appropriations from each fund do not exceed official resource estimates.
Commissioners also received and signed the final change order for project PW660 (CR12-6867) landslide repair. The board approved appointment of Jeffrey Easton to the Lawrence County Regional Planning Commission effective Aug. 1, 2025, through July 31, 2028; the meeting record notes that this is a reappointment.
Votes were recorded for each consent motion; the transcript shows commissioners answering "Yes" on roll calls for the items noted. No opposed or abstaining votes were recorded in the meeting transcript for the listed consent items.
These actions are standard procedural approvals necessary to keep county operations, personnel and capital projects moving in accordance with statute and administrative practice.
