Carpentersville board approves Well No. 8 rehabilitation contract

Director Gray of Public Works told trustees the village operates four shallow wells and routinely pulls pumps for inspection; well rehabilitation was put out to bid this year. “The second the lowest bidder did not meet our responsible bidder ordinance, so we had to go with the… responsible bidder, which is Municipal Well and Pump,” Gray said.
Three bidders responded to the solicitation, Gray said. Trustees voted to accept the lowest responsible bidder and the base bid and unit prices as presented; the motion to approve was made by Trustee Garcia and seconded by Trustee Abbott. A roll call vote recorded unanimous approval.
