Police Chief Kevin Kolash told the council the department plans to purchase two interceptor vehicles using federal asset forfeiture funds and a separate vehicle for DUI enforcement using DUI funds. “These the funds for asset forfeiture are used to enhance, our operations, and this is to enhance our operations. These are not city funds. These are federal asset forfeiture funds used for this purchase,” Kolash said. He added of the DUI vehicle: “Item number 19, there's what's called a DUI fund for, driving under influence, and those funds can be expended for DUI enforcement.”

The council approved the listed financial matters (items 10‑1 through 10‑33) by roll call after a motion to approve. The motion to approve the package passed on the roll call taken by the clerk.

Officials did not provide purchase prices or vendor names for the vehicles during the meeting; they indicated the funds originate from asset-forfeiture proceeds and DUI enforcement reimbursements and are designated for police operations.
