Victoria County Commissioners Court approved awarding the RFP for a health department spray-truck building to Logger Companies Inc. for $377,500 after the apparent low bidder requested to withdraw its bid. John (County Judge) told the court the evaluation team recommended Logger as the contractor and that the award is subject to the county attorney’s review before execution.
The $377,500 figure includes an alternate to add a screening fence along the western property line; county staff said the fence would be required by the city unless the county obtains a waiver from the adjacent property owner. The evaluation process and bid withdrawal meant the low bidder was not recommended.
The court approved the recommendation by voice vote; staff may finalize the contract following legal review and return it for signature as needed.
