Victoria County Commissioners Court voted to create an assistant county engineer position and adopt the recommended pay grade and salary range at a May meeting. Gianni (county staff) presented the job evaluation, reporting the position graded at Grade 16 with a minimum of $66,225, a midpoint of $86,092 and a maximum of $105,960. The court moved, seconded and approved the creation of the position.
Gianni said the vacant role in the engineering and development department is being reclassified for an incoming employee who will be an engineer by next month. The court recorded a voice vote of approval with “Aye” and no recorded opposition or abstentions.
No other substantive conditions or amendments to the pay grade were recorded; commissioners thanked staff and moved on to later agenda items.
