Victoria County Commissioners on June 9 approved an interlocal agreement to participate in the Brazos Valley Council of Governments’ cooperative purchasing program, Purchasing Solutions Alliance.
Staff explained the move adds another cooperative purchasing option for the county; the county does not pay a membership cost. The item arose in part because staff noted the Motorola vendor had a contract available through that cooperative, prompting staff to pursue membership so the county has more procurement options going forward.
The court approved the interlocal agreement by motion and second and recorded no cost to the county for membership.
