The Victoria County Commissioners Court received a fully executed contract on Aug. 4 with JE Construction LLC for the Victoria Regional Airport parking lot rehabilitation project. The contract was provided to the court for receipt; the transcript lists numeric bid figures as $481,000 and $418,000 (both amounts recorded by the airport representative), and the project is described as a 90-day construction effort.

Airport staff said work may begin this week and that the county will attempt to complete portions of the lot in phases to coincide with commercial service, which is paused until Sept. 5 and will resume with an afternoon flight. Staff asked vehicle owners to remove remaining cars from the lot to allow work to begin; the transcript indicates about 10–15 vehicles remained on the lot at the time of the meeting.

The court indicated an additional contract for grant-funded project management (Centurium) is expected next week and that the parking lot project is one part of several improvements at the airport.
