Court approves vacation of a short segment of Jingle Drive in Precinct 3

Travis County Commissioners held a public hearing June 10 and unanimously approved a request to authorize filing an instrument to vacate a section of right‑of‑way on Jingle Drive in Precinct 3.
County staff recommended the vacation, saying the owner of surrounding lots controls the adjacent property and the segment is not needed for frontage; county staff reported no objections. An owner representative was present and indicated support. Commissioners opened and closed the public hearing without additional public speakers and then moved to approve item 31 (companion to the hearing) authorizing the vacation.
County staff said the vacated segment may be used by the owner to create a single larger tract subject to county requirements; staff noted the name "Jingle Drive" will remain in local records while the legal right‑of‑way would be vacated.
The action passed unanimously.
