Erin Pfaffenberger, director of Facilities Management, told the court the relocation involves converting previously childcare‑designated space and that additional follow‑up Tuesday items will be required for space use changes and a lease discussion. The department asked the court to move the funds now so DRC can proceed with moving tasks while staff returns with detailed analyses.
Court member motions approved the transfer from the DRC fund to cover the move and directed Facilities and Community & Legal Services to return with a lease and space allocation discussion in a future Tuesday meeting. Staff emphasized that while the funds come from the DRC's special fund (not the county general fund markup pool), multiple further items will need court approval before a long‑term arrangement is final.
