Taylor County Commissioners Court on Tuesday voted 4-0 to authorize the county judge to sign a letter supporting Taylor County’s inclusion in a proposed foreign-trade zone (FTZ) service area and to back two magnet sites that would sit inside existing Development Corporation of Abilene industrial parks.
The vote followed a presentation by Misty Mayo of the Development Corporation of Abilene and an explanation of FTZ benefits by consultant Shane Williams.
