Callahan County Commissioners Court on July 28 designated Debbie Hatchett, the county tax assessor-collector, as the official county officer to calculate tax rates for the coming tax year.
The court noted the action is an annual administrative step that was not completed at the previous meeting. Commissioner Clark moved to appoint Debbie Hatchett; Commissioner Windham seconded the motion and the court approved it unanimously.
