Pratt County commissioners approved a motion to pay Foley Industries $6,226.23 for generator services at the health department dating back to June 2023, and directed staff to move future generator billing to the countyacilities manager.
Health department staff said Foley Industries had been performing monthly and semiannual generator service since June 2023 but invoices were not received because they were sent to an old or incorrect email address. "They are gonna waive some of the smaller service charges," the health department staff said, adding that the remaining balance would be $6,226.23.
The health department requested the payment come from the department
esignated special equipment fund to avoid disrupting operating budgets. Staff reported the special equipment balance is substantial (figures cited in the meeting), and said the department will work with the county facilities manager (BJ) to ensure future bills are routed properly.
A commissioner moved to pay the Foley bill from the health special equipment fund; the motion passed 3-0. Commissioners said they would ensure the accounts and billing addresses are corrected so future invoices are received and handled by the person overseeing generators.
The payment was presented as a corrective administrative action to settle charges for services rendered rather than a policy change.
