Staff emphasized that several vendors with high requested increases are not primary providers the district has used in recent years; they remain on contract as awarded standby vendors so the district can call them when needed without re‑procurement thresholds applying.
Board members said they wanted the public to know about the requested increases and asked staff to highlight items they planned to pull from consent for separate discussion. Administration said it would present those line items during the consent‑agenda review so the board could vote to keep acceptable vendors in consent and pull others for further discussion.
