Community roundtable organizers set attendance goal, confirm Culture in the Park plans

The Conway Community Roundtable met at 6:01 p.m. and focused most of its meeting on finalizing logistics and outreach for an upcoming youth engagement roundtable and the linked Culture in the Park event.

Council members agreed to pursue an attendance goal of about 50 people by asking each council member to recruit roughly five attendees and to keep the roundtable to about an hour to 90 minutes, roughly 6 to 7:30 p.m. The meeting also reviewed panel membership, promotional materials, deadlines for confirmations and plans for entertainment, volunteer staffing and outreach to schools and youth organizations.

The session’s organizers said they want a panel made up of education and youth-program representatives so panelists can describe “how we engage” local youth and answer audience questions.
