Kennett City museum installs windows, advances HVAC work; reopening date not set

The museum has had visitors while crews worked. Carter said three of four people who stopped by recently were from out of town, and that there is local interest in reopening. He recommended checking back in the fall for an opening date; no firm date was provided.
The museum is operated by the museum board, and council members asked whether volunteers will be needed to staff the site. Carter said the museum board will handle staffing, and volunteers will be needed both for restoration work and for staffing when the museum opens. No formal action or funding allocation was announced at the meeting.
