The board approved the minutes from its Feb. 18, 2025 meeting; accepted claims batches numbered 25, 108–113; and approved the consent agenda and file items.
On resolutions, commissioners approved resolutions of intent to grant Class 8 tax abatements and set public hearings for Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at 9 a.m. in Room 3108 for the following applicants: Phillips 66 Company (Resolution 25‑20), CHS Incorporated (Resolution 25‑21) and Coca‑Cola Bottling Company High Country (Resolution 25‑22). Finance recommended an 80% abatement for Class 8 properties during the initial five‑year period, and the hearing will allow public comment and final action.
Each of the above motions was moved and seconded and carried with affirmative votes. The county attorney described the resolutions as setting intent and noted a public hearing will be held in two weeks.
No public comments were offered on county business before the meeting adjourned.
