The Excelsior Springs City Council received a July 2025 financial report on Aug. 18 from Finance Director Vonda Floyd. The report lists total appropriations of $3,169,195.95 and total revenues of $3,278,178.57 for July. Floyd noted the city's annual insurance premiums (general liability and workers' compensation) renew on July 1; the workers' compensation premium recorded in July was "a little over $466,000," and the remainder of annual insurance-related payments will appear in August financials. The report included weekly appropriations and payroll amounts: appropriations for July 5: $342,007.62; July 17: $623,066.28; July 24: $861,066.68; payrolls July 15: $484,007.16; July 31: $472,009.00, for totals as presented. The finance report was for review only and required no council action at the meeting.
