Bridgeton Kiwanis asks council to promote club and notes damaged service-club monument at Natural Bridge Road

During the public-comment period, Kathy Bowden, speaking for the Bridgeton Kiwanis at 12119 Saint Charles Rock Road, thanked the council for its support of the service organization and asked the city to help promote Kiwanis membership in newsletters, activity guides or other city communications so the club can increase membership.
Bowden described the Kiwanis as the only service organization currently active in Bridgeton and said the group supports community events, children’s programs and local emergency services. She also reported a damaged service-club monument on Natural Bridge Road near the new Miami Grill where the plaque signs for service clubs appear weathered or missing; she asked the city to address the monument’s signage to better publicize local service organizations.
The mayor responded that the council would do what it could to support the organization and thanked Bowden for attending.
