The Excelsior Springs City Council approved several appointments and reappointments on Sept. 2. The council appointed Sonya Morgan to the Housing Authority board (Resolution 1602), approved Brenda Kilgore to the Downtown Excelsior Springs Commercial Community Improvement District (CID) board (Resolution 1603), reappointed Keith Hudson to the downtown CID board (Resolution 1604), and reappointed Alan Johnson, Tim Cozen and James Hildebrand to the 1645 Kearney Road CID board (Resolution 1605).
City Manager Molly McGovern presented the items and noted the downtown appointments included business owners and long-serving members who are eligible under council policy. Each resolution was approved by roll-call vote with all council members present voting yes; the council did not amend the nominations during the meeting.
These appointments fulfill council policy on board terms and replace or extend seats for entities that support downtown business and property operations.
