Resident and commissioners clash over maintenance of County Road 14 East; board schedules 1-and-6-year hearing

"Since this road has not been been maintained for over 2 months, it is difficult to determine all the causes of this deterioration," Newell said, and she presented photographs taken June 11 and June 14 showing washouts and a blowout. She also cited state statute and county funding figures, saying, "In fiscal year 23–24, Banner County received $515,949.33 in highway allocation. The maintenance of all county roads, including County Road 14 East, needs to be allocated from this highway fund."
