Darcy Temple, a member of the Metropark marketing team, told the Yellowstone County Board of County Commissioners that advance ticket sales and sponsorship revenue are tracking ahead of last year as the county approaches its 50th anniversary fair.
Temple said Monster Jam–style Hot Wheels events will take place without dirt inside the arena and reported 2,800 tickets sold for the Saturday matinee, just over 1,600 for the Saturday evening show and about 1,700 for the Sunday show. She described that event as more kid-focused than traditional monster truck shows.
Temple said the county has sold roughly 2,000 gate admissions to date for the fair and reported sponsorship revenue at $196,816 — $9,200 above the 2024 total and about $3,200 short of a $200,000 goal. Temple said the county did not secure a presenting sponsor for the upcoming fair year and that staff will begin outreach to find one for 2026.
Temple said Ian Munczyk will return Oct. 9 and that three additional shows are in negotiation for October and early November. She also said the marketing team will begin a concert advertising push and social posts marking the fair’s 50th anniversary.
Liz Arlene, introduced as the marketing coordinator, recently attended an event-marketing conference in Atlanta and was at the meeting to take questions.
No board action was taken; the briefing was informational.
