Council appoints Carter Fox to Ward 4, elects mayor pro tem and sets committee assignments

The Marshall City Council voted unanimously to appoint Carter Fox as Ward 4 council member and later elected a mayor pro tem and announced committee assignments for the new council.

The actions shape governance for the coming term: the appointment fills a Ward 4 vacancy; the mayor pro tem role provides council leadership when the mayor is unavailable; committee assignments determine which council members will handle property, public safety, municipal services and community development matters.

The mayor recommended Carter Fox as a Ward 4 replacement and a motion was made and seconded.
