The Grain Valley Board of Aldermen approved Resolution R25-13 to enter a new contract with Midwest Pool Management for lifeguard services at the Grain Valley Aquatic Center.
City staff described the action as an extension of an existing three-year contract and said the city has contracted with Midwest Pool Management since February 2009. "This would be an extension of an existing, 3 year contract. We've been with Midwest Pool Management since, 02/2009, and they also service a number of other pools in the Kansas City area," a city staff member said.
Alderman Melvin Knox moved the resolution; the motion received a second and passed by voice vote with no recorded opposition.
The resolution authorizes the city to continue contracting with Midwest Pool Management for lifeguard services; staff did not provide contract dollar amounts or the new contract term during the meeting.
