The Grain Valley Board of Aldermen approved a local liquor license for The Local Table and Bar LLC, doing business as The Local, on the second presentation, subject to outstanding state and county licenses and required health inspections.
Why it matters: The vote allows the business to move forward locally while the state and county licensing and outstanding health inspections are completed.
City staff said the city is waiting for the state and county licenses and pending health inspections before those licenses will be issued. Company representatives were present at the meeting; the record shows Mr. Bates and Ms. Tarintola attended to answer questions. A motion to approve the license while those external approvals remained pending was moved and seconded, and the board voted by voice to approve.
The approval is contingent on receipt of the state and county licenses and satisfactory health inspections; the city will not issue the final local authorization until those items are confirmed.
