Parking garage repairs: The board approved a change order (Bill 7075) for additional work on the Third Level of the 10 South Brentwood parking garage after contractor Western Specialty Contractors discovered post‑tension cable repairs that were not anticipated in the original contract. Staff requested additional funding of $148,000 to complete the eastern phase and finish the entire project; the measure passed by unanimous vote.
Remembrance Park final payment: The board approved final payment to the park contractor (Bill 7076). Staff reported the total project costs included land acquisition and demolition, and that the construction portion required a $3,710 additional payment because change orders had not been fully tracked within contingency. The final construction payment approved was recorded in the staff report and adopted by the board.
Municipal judge selection panel: The board appointed a municipal judge selection panel composed of the following members: William Waller and Patrick Kenny (expert representatives), Karen Schutte (Community Equity Commission representative) and Alderman Fader (board representative). The vote to appoint the panel carried with one no vote recorded and one abstention from the mayor, who had recused herself from the selection discussion earlier because of acquaintance with one of the potential candidates.
Ending — The board asked staff to process the contract payments and ordinances administratively and to advertise the remaining municipal panel vacancy and continue the judge selection timeline into early July.
