The City Council on Aug. 19 authorized the purchase of five Marion County trustee properties and adopted a resolution to sell a city-owned vacant lot at 1006 Valley.
Interim City Manager Andy Dorian recommended buying five trustee properties for $1 per parcel plus a $39 recorder fee per property; city staff typically puts acquired parcels back on the market. The council voted to approve that purchase.
Separately, the council adopted Resolution 2564‑25 authorizing the mayor to execute a special warranty deed conveying city property at 1006 Valley to Thomas H. Muehlbach for $600. The resolution passed on a roll-call vote with council members recorded as voting “yes.”
City staff said these transactions follow the city’s routine process of acquiring tax‑delinquent parcels and selling lots as appropriate; the council did not attach special conditions to the sale at the meeting.
