Village staff negotiates lower online permit processing fee; eCheck offered as cheaper option

Little also said the village will offer an eCheck option for permit payments that charges $1.95 per transaction, and that callers can use the eCheck option by phone. She credited staff for the negotiations and said the committee will continue exploring lower-cost alternatives.
The committee also reviewed potential uses for hotel-motel tax revenues, discussed the village employee merit program for 2025 and plans for 2026, and previewed a potential new downtown district map in the community development comprehensive plan; those items were reported as discussion and are expected to return for future consideration.
