The Village Council of Round Lake Beach approved the consent agenda on Aug. 18, authorizing $1,434,480.10 in expenditures and adopting several resolutions and ordinances listed on the consent calendar.
The items approved on the consent agenda included: approval of the July 21, 2025 council meeting minutes; authorization of expenditures totaling $1,434,480.10; a resolution releasing closed-session minutes; a resolution approving the purchase of trees from Arthur Wheeler Incorporated; a resolution approving employee tuition reimbursement; a resolution declaring a vehicle and certain equipment surplus; a resolution awarding Dorner Company the contract for repairs at the Wood Street pump station; and an ordinance creating section 332 of the village code to implement a municipal grocery retailers occupation tax and a municipal grocery service occupation tax.
The council also approved an ordinance amending section 331 of the village code regarding the home-rule municipal retailers occupation tax and home-rule municipal service occupation tax, and approved a memorandum of understanding with the Lake County Municipal League. Trustee Ibarra moved the consent agenda and Trustee Husk seconded; the council conducted a roll-call voice vote with trustees indicating “Aye,” and the motion carried.
