On the consent agenda, the board approved resolution 25-05-13 requesting $500,000 in CDBG funds for a sanitary sewer lining project for program year 2025. The board also approved resolution 25-05-14 to amend a prior resolution and authorize payment of an additional audit premium of $29,822 to the Illinois Counties Risk Management Trust for workers' compensation coverage.
The trustees approved resolution 25-05-15, a proposal from Christopher B. Burke Engineering for professional design and engineering services for the 2025 street program in an amount not to exceed $38,800. They also approved resolution 25-05-16, authorizing a proposal from Federal Engineering, Inc. to provide professional consulting services and oversee the migration of public-safety emergency-communications systems for the new Oak Lawn Regional Emergency Communication Center (OREC) 9-1-1 dispatch center for an amount not to exceed $117,109.
During initial consideration, the board removed items E (resolution 25-05-17) and F (resolution 25-05-18) from the consent motion for separate handling and moved into an executive session for pending litigation. After returning to open session, the board voted on the two items that had been held: resolution 25-05-17, approving and authorizing execution of a settlement agreement and general lease with Proven Business Systems versus the Village of Oak Lawn (previously tabled Feb. 25), and resolution 25-05-18, rejecting all bids submitted in response to a request for proposals for managed print solutions. Both items were approved by roll call; the transcript records each trustee voting yes.
The board also approved disbursement resolution 2025-05-D dated March 11, 2025, authorizing payment of $5,707,572.99 in bills.
Village Clerk Claire Henning announced that early voting begins at the Oak Lawn Library on March 17 and runs through March 31, with Election Day on April 1.
