The Village of Oak Lawn Board of Trustees on March 25 approved the consent agenda and a disbursement resolution totaling $1,811,587.27 during a regular meeting at Village Hall.
The consent agenda, passed in a single motion, included: approval of the National MS Society Illinois Chapter annual MS Walk set for May 4, 2025, and a waiver of village fees of $5,843.98 for the event; an ordinance (25-06-09) amending the Oak Lawn zoning ordinance to make used automotive dealers a special use in the M-1 restricted manufacturing district and a prohibited use in other zoning districts; a resolution (25-06-19) authorizing a contract with Studio GC Incorporated to provide architectural services for design and construction of the joint public works facility and the Oak Lawn Regional Emergency Communication Center (911 center); a resolution (25-06-20) renewing the village treasurer’s security bond pursuant to section 194 of the village code; a resolution (25-06-21) waiving competitive bidding and approving the purchase of two 2025 Ford Expeditions XL special service vehicles from Napleton Ford of Oak Lawn for a total not to exceed $108,677.40; and a resolution (25-06-22) approving and authorizing execution of a settlement agreement and general lease in McLaughlin v. Village of Oak Lawn.
The zoning change was forwarded by the Zoning and Planning Commission with a 5-0 recommendation, as noted in the meeting record. The board’s motion enacted the ordinance as presented; no substantive debate on the ordinance was recorded in the transcript.
Trustees also approved a disbursement resolution (2025-06-D) in the amount of $1,811,587.27 by roll call.
Votes at the meeting were recorded as unanimous among voting trustees present. The board approved the minutes of the March 11, 2025, regular meeting earlier in the session by a separate vote.
The approvals bundle several village actions into one vote; the zoning ordinance and the contract with Studio GC carry implementation steps that will proceed under staff direction. No amendments or defections were recorded in the meeting minutes.
