Committee hears update on Old Town Pavilion; utility lines complicate possible move, renovation finds former termite damage

During demolition the contractor found more termite damage than originally expected. The city’s board of aldermen approved a change order on Thursday to address the additional work, and staff reported the pavilion is progressing despite the extra repairs.
Staff did not present a final cost estimate for either moving the pavilion or the additional renovation work; they said estimates are pending from Ameren and the contractor.
