Board of Aldermen approves multiple ordinances, permits and appointments including Goodwill permit, Beacon Athletics contract and Fabick restroom agreements

The Fenton Board of Aldermen approved a slate of ordinances and committee recommendations Thursday evening, including contracts and permits that the board said were discussed in committee beforehand.

Key votes at the Jan. 23 meeting included: a $123,144 contract with Beacon Athletics LLC for bench coverings (second reading of Bill 24-112, enacted as Ordinance 45-22); a special-use permit for Goodwill Industries to operate a used-merchandise store at 717 Gravois Road (Bill 25-02, enacted as Ordinance 45-23); a third amendment to a memorandum of understanding with the Gravois Bluffs Transportation District relating to license-plate readers (Bill 25-03, enacted as Ordinance 45-24); and two agreements related to the Fabick Nature Preserve restroom project — a new agreement with Restroom Facilities Ltd. (Bill 25-04, Ordinance 45-25) and a separate contract for crane services with Budrovich Contracting (Bill 25-05, Ordinance 45-26).

The board also approved committee recommendations and appointments: renewal of a maintenance contract with FireTech LLC for sprinkler systems, reappointments and appointments to the Parks and Recreation/Tree Advisory Board, and a motion to hold the 2025 Arbor Day observance on April 26, 2025 at Fenton City Park.…
