Bruno's Cheesecake asked the Village of North Aurora on Feb. 3 to allow a Class C liquor license, which would permit beer and wine at the business's 17 South Lincoln Way location.
Staff member Steve introduced the request at the Committee of the Whole meeting, saying the business has operated for more than eight years and that the owner indicated customers have requested liquor options. Steve said the request is for a straight liquor license (beer and wine only) and that the applicant has not requested video gaming.
The matter was presented for initial review only; Trustees discussed the length of time the business has been in operation but did not take a formal vote or direct immediate action. Trustee Christiansen responded positively to the presentation, saying he preferred seeing this operation remain consistent with the neighborhood.
Because the item was informational, staff did not record a motion or vote. The license request will proceed through any required administrative review and licensing steps under village rules, at which point a formal action or hearing could occur.
No statutory or code references were cited during the presentation.
