Board approves preliminary water impact agreement for Aurora PAC development

The North Aurora Board of Trustees approved a water impact agreement Monday with Aurora PAC, part of an ongoing review of the development’s utilities after its 2020 special-use PUD approval.
"Aurora PAC received their special use PUD in 2020. And in 2022, the village was informed that APC's projected water usage would be higher than estimated," Staff member Bridal said, describing the background of the agreement. "The preliminary nonrefundable fee is $1,500,000, and the estimated full impact fee will be $2,700,000. Attached is the water agreement for you to approve."
Trustees voted in favor of approving the agreement by roll call. The water impact fee is intended to allow the village to recover costs associated with providing water service to new development; staff said the agreement was discussed previously at a committee-of-the-whole meeting on April 21.
The board did not record specific conditions or payment schedule in the meeting transcript; staff presented the agreement and trustees approved it for execution.
